December: From the President
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a blessed holiday and was able to spend time with family and friends. I was fortunate to have my parents visit from Florida for 2 weeks. We stayed close at home as I was recovering from surgery and less exposure to my parents getting sick. We did sneak out one night to look at Christmas lights and take our annual picture in front Santa.
I typically look back at the previous year and reflect on all that happened – good and bad. This was not a normal year as we all know. Our family had joys and sorrows in 2021. It is a new world we are living in and sometimes it is hard to adjust. I really want to want to make sure I schedule me time in 2022 and I encourage all of you to try to do the same. As I have said before, women tend to take care of others before they take care of themselves. Please share with other members if you have ways that you decompress or take time for yourself!
I wish you all a very healthy and safe 2022. I look forward to growing and learning from each of you in the new year.
Always find a reason to smile!
