January: From the President
Greetings ABWA sisters! This month is flying by. I hope everyone is staying healthy and warm as we move into February. I know a lot of you love the snow, but I am hoping we do not get much more. We have had some really cold weather lately, but the sun has been shining which always makes the day so much better.
I recently attended the Just in Time webinar hosted quarterly by Rene Street, ABWA’s Executive Director. A lot of the information was shared which you can find on www.abwa.org. I will share some of the highlights with you.
Rene always announces the ABWA theme for the year in the 1st Just in Time call of the year. This year’s theme is Together Towards Tomorrow. The icon is the butterfly which is a symbol of life, endurance, hope, and transformation. Its flight path is symbolic of the Association's forward momentum in supporting working women to become their best selves. I love the meaning and symbol it represents. Here is the logo pictured right.
Our Regional conference will be held virtually on March 11th & 12th. If you have never attended a conference, I highly encourage you to attend. They always have great speakers and content, and you get to interact with ABWA members from across the county.
On March 5th, the Indianapolis Charter Chapter will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary and will be hosting a special event to honor the occasion for all who can attend.
There are a lot of events coming up in the next couple of months. Please check our website and Facebook page for ways to sign up and attend. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our February meeting!
Always find a reason to smile!
