July: From the President
It is really hard to believe this is my last Presidents letter as my 2nd term has come to an end. I look back at so many great memories and accomplishments our group has had. We also faced some challenges as well. It was not always easy navigating through the everchanging parameters of COVID. Can we have our meeting in person? Should we have our meeting virtually instead? This was never taken lightly by me or the board. Our member’s safety was always our #1 priority. We weathered the storm, and I am so happy that our membership numbers continue to grow and as of today Women of Magnitude has 35 members! Our membership is expanding because of our current members inviting guests and sharing what ABWA means to them.
I want to thank my Board Members, Leigh Roberson, Cheryl Schmandt, Beth Ann Riecke, Christie Browning, Jaime Wilsey-Heckman and Valerie Lloyd for their time, commitment, feedback, support, and involvement this past year. I could not have done this alone. You are all amazing and beautiful women and I appreciate you more than you know.
To all our members, whether you have been in ABWA 35 plus years or if you joined at our last meeting – thank you for helping our league thrive & grow. I appreciate your enthusiasm, questions, friendship, smiles, encouraging words, and your confidence in me to lead Women of Magnitude for the last 2 years. We really do have Wonderful, Out of this world, Marvelous, Extraordinary, Noteworthy members!
Thank you again for entrusting me to lead WOMEN as your board President. I look forward to supporting our new board members as they continue to elevate our league even higher!
