ABWA 101
The February meeting featured long-term members Michelle Crone and Shirley New (pictured far right) who shared information about how to get more involved in ABWA, how ABWA was founded, and how our league got started. There was great information shared in this presentation to help us all better understand ABWA locally and nationally.
February's Meal Sponsor was Holly Ripke with Ripke Law Office (pictured right). Holly shared how 'GNOME' one wants to file bankruptcy! She shared more about her firm and debt relief options. Some lucky attendees got to take home some adorable Valentine-themed gnomes as gifts. Three members were in attendance at our February meeting.
Congratulations to Women of Magnitude member Cheryl Schmandt whose candidacy for District V Vice President has been approved.
Cheryl's campaign will run through 2022 with elections held at the National Conference later this year. Cheryl's campaign theme is "Possibilities Unlimited" and her color of choice for her campaign is neon pink. The entire league is encouraged to help support Cheryl and her campaign as opportunities come available.
President Dianne Rybicki reminded those in attendance about the upcoming regional conference taking place virtually.
Cheryl Schmandt gave an update on this year's scholarship of $2,000 offered to a high school senior or current college student.
President Elect Leigh Roberson shared an upcoming floral arrangement class that will be taking place April 29th at Ruby Moon. Tickets are just $50.
