September: From the President
I just returned from a long-needed family vacation. We spent 11 days camping, or as I call it, glamping! At one point we had 27 family members from 5 states at our campsites. We ate, drank, played cards, and had many campfires. It was a great time to unwind and reconnect with family. I say this to remind ourselves how important it is to take time away from work and everyday life stressors. It is so easy to make excuses to not find time to getaway.
Even if that is just for an hour, it can make a big impact. As women, we typically take care of others first and tend to neglect our own health and well-being. My challenge for each of you before our next meeting is to find your “me time.” If you feel like sharing at our October meeting, I would love to hear from a few of our members on what you did and how that helped your mental health.
I missed our September meeting, but heard it was fabulous! Great speaker, networking, and overall a great time were some of the comments I received. Thank you to Leigh for running the meeting on my behalf! Please continue to share your comments and feedback as this is one way, we continue to make our meetings beneficial and productive for members and guests.
We have many events coming up in the next couple of months: Candle making on 9/30,October meeting on 10/12, Make Bake & Buy on 10/16, and National Conference 11/4-11/6. Ihope many of you can attend one or more of these great events!
Always find a reason to smile!
