April 2026 News - April guest speaker, scholarships, & upcoming events
Our chapter met April 14 with featured guest Lisa Morton and her talk on Color Mastery & Feng Shui.
The meeting started off with Introductions/Networking - Name, Title, Company or Organization you represent and answer "What is your favorite place in your home?" Some of the answers were: Bed, Spa Bathroom, Four Season Room, Hot Tub, Kitchen, Upstairs of house, and Office.
Christina Adkison was our meal sponsor for April. She discussed her business, Money Matters Professional Collections, LLC. She discussed how bringing on construction builder clients has changed in her line of work. Making sure there is a signed contract (instead of gentleman's handshake), noting that court costs and attorney's fees will be included if there is non-payment for services rendered.
We currently have available an opening for July 2026. Then we may start taking meal sponsors for the 2026-2027 (August - July) league year after the last month has been filled. League Business:
1. Make, Bake and Buy: If you are interested in being involved on the committee, please reach out to Leigh Roberson, Co-Chair of MBB. Her email address is: leigh@thegadgetgirlllc.com.
2. Scholarship Opportunities: Members of Women of Magnitude voted to offer a $1000 Impact Scholarship. Attached is the Impact Scholarship Release regarding our Impact Scholarship that WOMEN is offering.
We have a candidate for the District V OutRight Grant that the league members voted on at the March meeting.
3. 2026 Spring Membership Drive: The Spring Membership Drive has started, March 1 - May 31, 2026. See attached flyer.
We had several guests at today's meeting: Nikki Stillson, Kassandra Buckland, Alyssa Claymiller, Jenni Poffenberger, Danielle Rich, Julie Hattaway, and Autumn Trice.
DATES TO REMEMBER:
April 15, 2026 - Coffee Connections. This is hosted by the Executive Director, Elizabeth Johnson, and the Ambassador Steering Committee. There are (2) time slots you can register for: 1pm EST and 7pm EST. Please register in the "Your Membership" platform under "View National Event Calendar."

April 22, 2026 - District V League Board Chats hosted by our District V Vice President, Renee Clement.

April 25, 2026 - Cardinal Crossroads Council 2nd Quarter Meeting. 10am - 12noon at Henry County REMC Building, 3400 SR-3 S, New Castle, IN 47362.
April 30, 2026 - Just In Time Webinar. This is hosted by the Executive Director, Elizabeth Johnson, ABWA National President, Barbara Pedersen and the ABWA National Team. Please register in the "Your Membership" platform under "View National Event Calendar."

May 12, 2026 - Women of Magnitude's May Meeting. 11:30am - 1pm at the Lincoln Financial Center at the Tincaps Stadium. Our guest speaker will be Cheryl Blair, presenting, "The Coats we Wear". We will also be electing the 2026-2027 Executive Board for our league. Last and not least, we will be celebrating our 11th Anniversary, and presenting the 2026 Woman of the Year.
May 16, 2026 - Raintree Chapter will be hosting their Diamond Jubilee. The cost for the event is $25 through April 25th.
June 9, 2026 - Women of Magnitude's May Meeting. 11:30am - 1pm at the Lincoln Financial Center at the Tincaps Stadium. Our guest speaker will be Julie Hattaway.
July 10-11, 2026 – District V Celebration - Celebrating Renee Clement our District V Vice President. Location is the Kensington Hotel, Ann Arbor Michigan. Early Bird Registration is open thru June 13, cost is $60 to attend. Late Registration is from June 14 - 30, cost is $70 to attend. Attached are the flyers for Registration, Silent Auction, Program Ads and Table Sponsorship.

NATIONAL EVENT:
September 30 - October 3, 2026 – National Womens Leadership Conference -- Register in the "Your Membership" platform to attend this 4 day event. The conference is being held at the Houston Marriott - Sugar Land, Texas. Early Bird Registration is open, cost is $665 thru August 30th. Late Registration starts August 31, cost will be $750.
