May 2026 News - May guest speaker, board elections, woman of the year, & summer events
Our chapter met May 12 with featured guest Cheryl Blair and her topic of Design Your Own Coat of Life.
The meeting started off with Introductions/Networking - Name, Title, Company or Organization you represent and answer "Where in the world would you want to retire?" Some of the answers were: Tennessee, Greece, Southern Florida, London England, Blue Ridge Mountains, Anywhere family is located, Denver Colorado, Anywhere in the Midwest, Golden Girls home with friends, Thailand, Arizona, and North Shore Oahu Hawaii.
Leigh Roberson was our meal sponsor for May. She discussed her business, The Gadget Girl, ingenious ideas for marketing your business. Leigh gifted each of us a charger for our vehicles.
We have filled the July meal sponsor, so we will start taking meal sponsors for the 2026-2027 (August - July) league year after the last month has been filled. 2. Scholarship Opportunities: We have 11 individuals who have accessed the portal to apply for the scholarship being given by Women of Magnitude. We have 4 individuals who have completed the entire process. Shortly, we will be awarding one individual for the 2026 Impact Scholarship for Women of Magnitude.
3. 2026 Spring Membership Drive: The Spring Membership Drive will be wrapping up on May 31, 2026. See attached flyer.

June 9, 2026 - Women of Magnitude's May Meeting. 11:30am - 1pm at the Lincoln Financial Center at the Tincaps Stadium. Our guest speaker will be Julie Hattaway.
June 17, 2026 - Coffee Connections. This is hosted by the Executive Director, Elizabeth Johnson, and the Ambassador Steering Committee. There are (2) time slots you can register for: 1pm EST and 7pm EST. Please register in the "Your Membership" platform under "View National Event Calendar."

July 10-11, 2026 – District V Celebration - Celebrating Renee Clement our District V Vice President. Location is the Kensington Hotel, Ann Arbor Michigan. Early Bird Registration is open thru June 13, cost is $60 to attend. Late Registration is from June 14 - 30, cost is $70 to attend. July 25, 2026 - Cardinal Crossroads Council 2nd Quarter Meeting. 10am - 12noon at Henry County REMC Building, 3400 SR-3 S, New Castle, IN 47362.
August 21-22, 2026 - Summer Sizzler hosted by Cardinal Crossroads Council will be held at Knights of Columbus, 3600 W Purdue Ave, Muncie IN 47304. Further details to follow shortly.
NATIONAL EVENT:
September 30 - October 3, 2026 – National Women's Leadership Conference -- Register in the "Your Membership" platform to attend this 4 day event. The conference is being held at the Houston Marriott - Sugar Land, Texas. Early Bird Registration is open, cost is $665 thru August 30th. Late Registration starts August 31, cost will be $750.
