A few words from Dianne Rybicki, President

Welcome to spring!!  It is so nice to hear the birds chirping and see the sun out.  We recently had a fun and productive board retreat.  We are always looking for ways to enhance our meetings and networking events.

We had a great April meeting!  Cheryl hosted a fun game of “What’s inside your purse?”  You would not believe some of the stuff our members carry in their purses!!  The current board talked about our positions as elections for next year’s board is next month.  I was so excited to see so many new names added to the ballot.  Thank you to Valerie Lloyd, with First Merchants, who was our meal sponsor.

Girls just want to have fun!!
  • We want to bring more fun into the meetings and more networking!!  I started at the April meeting of putting papers on each table with upcoming events.  This way we can use the time I usually talk about these events for more fun and networking at our meetings.
  • If you have an idea or fun networking event, please share with me or any board member!
  • These announcements are included in the newsletter.

Lots going on with our league!!  I hope to see all members at our May 11th meeting so everyone can vote for our next board.

Always find a reason to smile!

Board Member Round Table

In our educational section of the meeting, board members shared their experiences for the 2020-2021 board year.  Each board member spoke about the general duties of each position, the challenges and the skills they’ve gained during their tenure.

Board elections are set to be held at the May meeting.  Any current ABWA member, in good standing, can decide to run for any board position.  Members can also run for more than one position, considering they have not already been elected to a position.  All members in good standing (current on dues) may vote during the May meeting, however, they must attend the meeting in person to do so.
If you are interested in running for an office, please email Angie Rose at angie@perryoffice.net
