Great news.…..everyone likes to hear that positive phrase! After this past year, I feel we all need to hear great news more often. Why, as women, is it hard for us to share our successes? When we have a win in our business we should and need to share that with others. Why? Because for one it feels good.

I always love the month of May for several reasons. It is the month of my birthday, we celebrate our amazing mother’s and the weather is starting to get warmer. I hope everyone had a Happy Mother’s Day!! This includes current moms, future moms, and of course fur moms. You are all fabulous! I included my mom in my picture for the president’s letter this month. Love you mom!!

Welcome to spring!! It is so nice to hear the birds chirping and see the sun out. We recently had a fun and productive board retreat. We are always looking for ways to enhance our meetings and networking events.

The March meeting was brimming with excitement! First off, it was our distinct honor to award Women of Magnitude’s Woman of the Year Award. The Woman of the Year award is awarded annual to a league member who has shown outstanding achievement. All applicants apply listing their achievements in and outside of ABWA.

ABWA National Top Ten recipient, former District V Vice President, and lifelong member of ABWA, Marilyn Lash shared her experiences with exploring opportunities in ABWA at the National level. She discussed the challenges she faced while stretching outside her own comfort zone... and how she's glad she did!

WIth the new year, create a new and better you! Kelly Ambriole with the Ox Agency walked up through some great steps for goal setting to create the best version of you!
