How many of you have seen the movie or play The Fidler on the Roof?  It is a favorite of mine and my husband’s.  One of my favorite songs in the play is Tradition.  Such a meaningful song that brings me back to my childhood and the traditions we had growing up.

It is almost time for the most thankful month of the year. We should do this all year long, but it seems that November is a time I find for reflection and all I have to be thankful for. I feel a lot of people focus on the negative aspects of their life before the positive.

I just returned from a long-needed family vacation. We spent 11 days camping, or as I call it, glamping! At one point we had 27 family members from 5 states at our campsites. We ate, drank, played cards, and had many campfires. It was a great time to unwind and reconnect with family. I say this to remind ourselves how important it is to take time away from work and everyday life stressors. It is so easy to make excuses to not find time to getaway.

Each year, we ask all members to fill out a survey as your responses will provide invaluable information to the newly elected leaders in the development of an annual curriculum that will enhance your membership experience.

Our August newsletter features some new members and our new board of directors. We officially kicked off our new league year!

Welcome to the 2021-2022 ABWA league year!! We had a jammed-packed August meeting if you were unable to attend. A big thank you to Michelle Crone and Shirley New for installing the new board with their fun NASA reference and yummy moon pies!!

The new ABWA Board is excited for the new league year starting in August. We of course want to increase our membership, but also want to provide our members with social events, on going education, and amazing speakers! If you were at our July meeting, we talked about how important it is for all members to fill out the Member interest Survey.

Cardinal Crossroads Council is once again producing a Business Directory to be distributed digitally to ABWA members in Indiana and Ohio, ABWA District V, all participating businesses, and throughout various social media channels.

This month’s meeting held some business and some fun. While lunching, we started with networking at our tables discussing the advice we would give to ourselves at 13. Each table shared the most interesting suggestion from their table. Elections: Board elections for the 2021-2022 league were held.
